Phaleria rotundata – Kelp Beetle

Adult: 5-7mm.

Order Coleoptera/ Family Tenebrionidae – Darkling Beetles

A common inhabitant of  the kelp wrack community from Baja California to central California. The larvae and adults feed on decomposing kelp.
