Peñasquitos Lagoon Weeding and Restoration
Carmel Valley Road - 1st Saturday of the month 9 AM until noon
Sorrento Valley Road - 4th Saturday of the month 9 AM until noon

Contact:  Lagoon@torreypine.org  Carol Martin or Janice Barnard

Join our team the first Saturday of each month, anytime between 9 AM and noon. Weeding is an easy way to earn docent or student community service volunteer hours.

Maintaining the areas we have planted is part of the long-term project plan.  Carmel Valley Road is sectioned  by street name, each block requires 4- 6 people to weed once a month. The people weeding on your block could be neighbors, coworkers, friends, Torrey Pines Association, a business, book club, garden club, Rotary Club, Torrey Pines Docents, etc.

A staff person will work with everyone to point out which weeds to remove and be available to answer questions.

This is an easy way to help out the Lagoon at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. Please RSVP to Lagoon@torreypine.org.

These are the blocks and the groups or individuals in charge:

1.    White Gate to Via Aprilla               Adopted by Del Mar/Solana Beach Rotary Club

2.    Via Aprilla to Area closed sign    Adopted by Del Mar/Solana Beach Rotary Club
